Portfolio Manager/ Qualified Accountant

The role:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients who are provided accounting, tax and VAT services by the accounting firm’s teams
  • Deliver excellent client service level agreements, always with a goal to gain a high client satisfaction score
  • Plan team workload to reduce turnaround time for jobs and ensure clients billed promptly
  • Keep up-to-date with: technical updates, changes in accounting and tax regulations, the current (and proposed future state) of cloud accounting platforms, financial software, cloud based financial and business apps
  • Solid knowledge of all firm offerings and when clients may need these services
  • Generate referrals and identify opportunities to upsell extra services to existing clients

What you bring to the table:

  • ACCA or ACA qualification
  • CTA qualified would be a bonus
  • 3+ years of proven experience working in an accountancy practice; ideally client-facing with some advisory experience
  • Solid knowledge of personal and corporate tax
  • Delivery of work to a high technical standard
  • Effective problem-solving, efficient working style
  • Responsive and customer-service-oriented manner
  • Understanding of how to mitigate risk when giving specialist tax advice
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in accountancy regulations and technology
